This policy explains how AI Vids Guide for VideoExpress ("we") collects, uses, and protects your information.
What we collect
- Account data: username, email, full name (optional), password hash, country, phone, language preference.
- Profile data: avatar image, bio (all optional).
- API keys: if you choose to add them. Stored encrypted (AES-256-CBC).
- Project data: your wizard answers, generated prompts, and output text.
- Technical data: IP address, browser user-agent, login attempts (for security).
What we share
- AI providers: When you click Generate, your wizard answers and project context are sent to the AI provider you selected (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or Opencode). They process your request under their own privacy policies.
- reCAPTCHA: Google reCAPTCHA may be loaded on registration, login, and contact forms. Google receives device and behavioural signals; see Google's privacy policy.
- AdSense: If ads are enabled, Google AdSense may set cookies and use device identifiers for ad personalization.
- Email service: Verification and contact-form emails are routed through an SMTP provider configured by the administrator.
- We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
We use a single HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in. Third-party services (reCAPTCHA, AdSense, Analytics) may set additional cookies — see their policies.
Data retention
Account and project data is kept until you delete your account or your project. You may request account deletion via the Contact page.
Security
- Passwords are hashed with bcrypt.
- API keys are encrypted at rest.
- All forms are protected with CSRF tokens.
- Login attempts are rate-limited.
- HTTP-only secure session cookies and strict Content Security Policy headers.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page. Continued use means you accept the changes.
